Update: PSPA revoked, Paddington

Police have revoked an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in  Paddington after taking a man into custody.

The man, who was allegedly making threats, left the Alma Street residence at around 3.45pm and was arrested without further incident.

Police would like to thank the community for their assistance and understanding.

Earlier:

Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to an incident currently happening in Paddington.

At 12.30pm today police were called to an address on Alma Street in relation to a man inside a home who is making threats.

Specialist police are in attendance and officers are attempting to negotiate with the man.
